Shelby Jean (Tennent) Bostian

Shelby Jean Tennent Bostian, 80 of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024 .

Shelby was born on September 29, 1943. She was a cherished daughter of the late James William Tennent and Helen Fay Shankle Tennent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Bostian Corriher; and her brother, James Tennent.

Shelby adored her grandchildren, finding pure joy in their company, and cherished every moment with them. She also enjoyed trips to the beach. Shelby loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Donnie Bostian (Angie); grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla, Jessica, and Hayden; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Adalyn, Annabelle, and Aliyah; sisters, Linda Hooks (Steve), and Carol Thames (Mike); brother, Johnny Tennent (Robin); sister-in-law, Joe Tennent; and son-in-law Jason Corriher.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm the following day at Whitley’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Efird officiating. Burial will immediately follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
