Shelby Jean Cuthbertson

Obituary: Shelby Jean Cuthbertson, 74, of Charlotte passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at PruittHealth at Town Center, Harrisburg. She was born September 15, 1941 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Mary Ann Little Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Ernest Cuthbertson, a daughter Beverly Ann Burton and a son, Albert Lee Cress. Shelby retired from Cannon Mills. She was a member of Landis Baptist Church. Shelby loved square dancing, bluegrass music, sewing, knitting, crafts and gardening. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 PM Monday, March 21, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6:30 PM in Whitley's Chapel officiated by Rev. Gene Edwards and Rev. Roger L. Steadman. She is survived by her son, Wayne Cress (Dana) of China Grove, daughter, Debra Evans (Greg) of Pelham, 8 grandchildren, John Cress, Zac Walters, Rebecca Evans Minter, Josh Walters, Elizabeth Pacifico, Devin Cress, Matthew Cress, Tessa Cress, great grandchildren, Ayden Cress, Brayden Walters, Jase Minter, Arrabella Pacifico, and her sister, Patricia Ann Thomas of Landis.
