Obituary: Sheree Lynn Carroll Dodson, 58, of China Grove passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1955 in Bluefield, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Morris Carroll. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Carroll. She had lived in Martinsville, Va. for most of her life. She and her husband moved to this area 18 years ago. She attended First Reformed Church, Landis. She had formerly worked at Pillowtex-Cannon and then was employed with CMC-NorthEast in the Radiology Scheduling Office. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, Sept. 14th, at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel officiated by Rev. David Franks and Rev. Tony Biles. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Annex Chapel prior from 11:00 -12:30 . She is survived by her husband, Gale Anthony Dodson, her daughter, Diana Dodson Rigsby (Randy) of China Grove, her son, Herbert Samuel "Sammy" Dodson (Amanda) of China Grove, two grandchildren: Preston and Landon Dodson, two brothers, Mike Carroll of Bassett, Va. and Keith Carroll of Axton, Va.
