Sherry Aldridge Rabon

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Sherry Lynne Aldridge Rabon, age 55, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home after a fourteen year battle with cancer. She was born January 27, 1960 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Larry Eugene Aldridge and Brenda Louise Hallman Aldridge. Sherry was a 1978 graduate of South Rowan High School. Sherry was employed in sales most of her life having worked at the former Brendle's Department Store, Food Lion, and lastly Wal-Mart since 1999. She was an avid lover of sports especially pulling for Duke University, the Miami Dolphins, and the Carolina Panthers. Her family fondly remembers her love of animals. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Curtis Parker. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the service. Survivors include her husband of almost thirty-four years, Kenneth D. Rabon; two sons, Jeremy K. Rabon and wife, Michelle and Matthew B. Rabon, both of Kannapolis, NC; her daughter, Brittney Rabon of Kannapolis, NC; four grandchildren and one on the way, Addison Rabon, Ethan Rabon, Owen Rabon, and Deondre Rabon; her brother, Scott Aldridge & two sisters, Melissa Aldridge and Julie Aldridge, all of Kannapolis, NC.
