Obituary: Sherry L Barnhardt Dalton Ronzo, age 46, of Salisbury died Friday August 7, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem after a brief battle with ALS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday August 9th, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Pastor Larry Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Annex Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday August 8th, at other times they will be at the home of Mark Dalton, 168 Whispering Drive in China Grove. Sherry was born in Rowan Co. to Thomas Roosevelt Barnhardt and Linda Clement Rodgers. She was a life long area resident, educated in Rowan Co. Schools. She graduated from West Davidson HS in 1981 and Rowan Cabarrus Comm. College with a degree in X-Ray Technology. She worked for Rowan Regional Medical Center as a MRI Technician. She loved singing karaoke, dancing, her puppies, going to the beach and Las Vegas and she was a great cook. Sherry was probably the biggest Carolinas Panther fan around. Her family requests that you wear your Panthers colors to the Funeral. She also supported UNC basketball. She absolutely loved life and her family. Celebrating holidays with her family and friends was very important to her. Sherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friends. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by infant son, Jamie Boettcher. She is survived by her husband, Joe Ronzo of the family home, her son, PFC Brandon Boettcher of Hawaii and grandson, Daemon Boettcher. Sherry is also survived by her parents, Linda and William Rodgers and Tom and Vickie Barnhardt; both of Salisbury, Sister Deana Stutts and 2 nieces, Kristin and Samantha Stutts both of Mooresville. She is survived by her father-in-law, Joe Ronzo, Sr. of Maine and mother-in-law, Diane and David Wood of Salisbury, brother-in-law Nick Ronzo and wife Melissa and nephews, Logan and Christian both of Mooresville and brother-in-law, Christopher Ronzo of Ft. Lauderdale. Also surviving is lifelong friend, Mark Dalton and her special Yorkies, Baylee and Fudge.
