Shirley Beatrice Faust

Shirley Beatrice Miles Faust, 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Concord Health and Rehabilitation Center, (formerly Accordius Health) in Concord, where she shared a room with her husband of 56 years Robert "Bob" Ervin Faust Jr.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis. Interment will be later at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

 The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:00 pm Sunday at Whitley's Funeral Home

Shirley was born July 31, 1941 in Rowan County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Miles and Mildred Gibson Miles. She graduated from A. L. Brown High School in 1959 and attended business school before going to work in Accounting at Barclays Services Corporation in Charlotte. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Miles Berrier. Shirley is survived by her husband Bob of Kannapolis and her brother, Gene Miles and wife Connie of Kannapolis, niece Deanna Miles Helms (husband Brandon), nephews Michael Steele, Kevin Steele (wife Amy), Jeff Berrier (wife Judy) and Rusty Berrier, nephew Tod Goodnight of Kannapolis, nephew Thad Goodnight and wife Nancy of Salisbury, nephew Dana Goodnight and wife Carol of Hillsborough, niece Starla Goodnight of Charlotte, cousin Sandra Holbrook and husband Blaine of Landis, and numerous other special cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
