Shirley Ann Wallace Lentz

Obituary: Shirley Anne Wallace Lentz, 47 of Landis, NC died Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Death was unexpected. Shirley was born on May 20, 1971 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of Gene Clifton Wallace of China Grove, NC and her biological mother, the late Shirley Anne Burgess Wallace who died giving birth to her daughter. Shirley went to work at Cannon Mills at the early age of 16 working for seven years. She then pursued her passion in wanting to put others before herself and completed her C.N.A. working at Big Elm Nursing Home. In addition to her father, survivors include the only mother Shirley ever knew, Cathy Weatherford Mishak, Shirley's husband, Donald Lentz of the home, two daughters; Brittany Wallace (Charles) and Tabitha Herrin (Shane), three grandchildren; Cayden, Gavin and Eli. Also by a brother, Gene Wallace, two sisters; Sabrina Johnson (Allen) and Sherry Wallace, and a grandmother, Betty Morgan. The Service for Mrs. Lentz will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 2nd at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Ralph Hager. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
