Shirley Ann Murph, 84, of Concord, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, November 6, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Born January 3, 1936 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Perry Dudley and the late Esther Honeycutt Dudley.
Shirley retired from IBM Technologies as a shipping and accounting clerk. Her passions in life were her church, her children and her grandchildren. She also had a love of flowers.
Shirley is survived by her children, Ann Herring and husband Randy of Concord, Gordon Murph and wife Kema of Kannapolis and Richard Murph of the home; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Sloop of Kannapolis; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Murph in 2015 and her son Michael Murph in 2020.
Due to the circumstances of Covid-19, there will be no services at this time. The family wishes to express thanks for all well wishes during this most difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks those inclined to do so make a charitable contribution to either Living Waters Church of God, 166 N. Little Texas Rd, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or one’s choice.
