Shirley Jean Love Noblitt, 83 of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 16, 2024, at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 29, 1941, in Cabarrus County, N.C., a daughter of the late William Eugene Love and Mattie Ann Shue Love. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Noblitt in 1988 and a son, William Eugne Noblitt.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Trent Patterson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Family members remaining to cherish her memory include Robert Franklin Noblitt, Jr. and wife Cherry of Kannapolis, Michael Wayne Noblitt and wife Sharon on Kannapolis, Larry Wade Noblitt and wife Diane of China Grove, Judy Lynn Jackson and husband James of Kannapolis, Shona Matea Newby and husband Grady of Kannapolis, sister in law, Loretta Love of Concord, nephew, Tim Love and wife Cindy of Concord and daughter in law Debbie of Kannapolis. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She also leaves her loved canine companion Raya.
Shirley was of the Christian Faith; she was known as everyone’s Mam Maw and Granny Bob. She retired after working fifteen years as assistant manager at a Day care center for children. She loved to sew, bake, and especially spending time with her family was her greatest love.
