Shirley Deloris Preslar

Obituary: Shirley Delores Troutman Preslar, 59, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her family. Shirley was born April 29, 1954, in Cabarrus County. She was one of 17 children born to the late Herman Harrison Troutman and the late Loris Kathleen Scott Troutman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Donald Ray Preslar. The family will receive friends, from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 13, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 100 Pine Grove Church Rd., Concord. The funeral service will be Friday, March 14, at 3 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ray Rivenbark. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be gathering at her home. She is survived by her son, Scott Preslar and wife, Angela, of Midland; daughter, Connie Russ and husband, Todd of Concord; grandchildren, Alli and Shelby Russ and Easton and Levi Preslar; great-grandson, Jaxon Russ; and mother-in-law, Louise Preslar of Midland. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Shirley worked at SCS, as a pharmacy technician and was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
