Shirley Susan Vellente

Obituary: Shirley S. Vellente received her angel wings on the afternoon of December 29th 2017. Shirley was born in Farrell, Pennsylvania on July 21st 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Helen Gutowski, husband Frank J. Vellente & nephew, Devin Gutowski. Survivors include her brother Ralph Gutowski (Kim), niece, Nicole Sinclair, daughters Cindy Vellente of Charlotte, NC and Tammy Stearns of Concord, NC. Her grandchildren include Brian & Michael Stearns. Shirley will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister & aunt. She was an avid golfer most of her life, enjoyed a nice glass of wine & loved spending time with her family and friends. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday January 3rd at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church; 101 Vance Street, Kannapolis NC 28081.The family will be receiving friends & family from 4:00-5:00 pm, followed by a brief service in the sanctuary. Shirley's family invites you to join them for a celebration of her life & a toast at Afton Tavern located at 355 John Galt Way NW, Concord, NC at 6pm.
