Sidney Reid Albright

Obituary: Sidney Reid "Sid" Albright, 78, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 6, 2018 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC. Born December 19, 1939 in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Cecil Monroe Albright and Eva Kate Morgan Albright. Mr. Albright had worked for IBM from 1978 to 1998. He had also worked part time with Patterson Farms, which he greatly enjoyed. Sid was a loving, God fearing man, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Albright was a member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church, where he sang in the choir and was formerly an elder. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family members left with cherished memories include his devoted wife of 54 years, Linda Thompson Albright of the home; his daughter, Lynn Bynum and husband Joe, of Maiden, NC; his son, Steven Albright of the home; his grandson, Mason Bynum; brother, James Albright and wife Ruth, of Salisbury, and his sister, Catherine Wolfingbarger and husband Larry, of Mt. Airy. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Albright will begin at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Back Creek Presbyterian Church, conducted by Pastor William "Bill" Thraikill and Rev. Trent Jones. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm at the church, following the committal service.
