"Sonny" Gary Mack Orbison

Obituary: Gary Mack "Sonny" Orbison, 71, of China Grove, NC died at CMS-NE in Concord on January 25, 2016. Sonny was born on Oct. 4, 1944 in Rowan Co., NC the son of the late Fred Orbison and the late Kathleen Faggart. In addition to his parents, Sonny is preceded in death by his brother, Durell Orbison. Sonny had worked for NASCAR for many years as an auto transporter. At his request, there will be no service for Mr. Orbison. Survivors include his sister; Judy Carpenter (Dale) of Landis and a long time, trusted friend, Tony Mills along with a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Jeff Gordon Children Hospital, c/o NorthEast Foundation, 920 Church St., N, Concord, NC, 28025.
