Sophia Crotts Tutterow

Obituary: Tutterow, Sophia Crotts China Grove, NC- Sophia Crotts Tutterow, age 94, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC after a serious illness of one week. She was born December 15, 1915 in Davie County, NC, the daughter of the late John Crotts and Julia Everhart Crotts. Sophia was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company for many years. She was also a member of the Kannapolis Church of God, Kannapolis, NC. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Tutterow who died in 1985. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. D.E. Sprinkle. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include a son, A.R. Tutterow & wife, Kay of Kannapolis, NC; two daughters, Shirley T. McGee & husband, Melvin and Janet T. Helms & husband, Jerry, both of China Grove, NC; Ten grandchildren, Deborah Young & husband, Greg, Donna Hamilton and husband, Phillip, Bobby Tutterow & wife, Tammy, Kristina Cook & husband, Jeff, John McGee, Jr., Julie Corriher & husband, Darren, Joe McGee, Steve Helms & wife, Dana, Mike Helms & wife, Nora, and Joy Hobbs & husband, Barry; Twenty-one great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Visitation: 12:30 - 2 P.M. Saturday August 21, 2010 prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home

Service: 2:30 P.M. Saturday Graveside service at Carolina Mem. Park in Kannapolis, NC.
