Spurgeon Larry Albright

Obituary: Spurgeon Larry Albright, 73 of Harrisburg, formerly of Highland Village, Tx. died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at CMC-Northeast, Concord, NC. He had been in declining health but death was unexpected.Mr. Albright was born August 28, 1937 in Pulaski County, Ky. a son of the late Horace Bass Stanfield and the late Phyllis Groff Albright. He was a member of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church in Charlotte and a veteran of the US Navy, having served aboard the USS Hornet. Prior to his retirement he was a self employed sales representative. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Avonda Albright, one son, Michael Lane Albright (Lisa) of Huntington Beach, Ca. four daughters, Carey (Greg) Armistead of Harrisburg, Tamra (Gene) Roberts-Dicks of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Staci Todd and fiancee' Ryan Wilson of Flower Mound, Tx., Alisha Johnson of Lewisville, Tx. and a sister, Clarice (John ) Gunn of Tennessee. Eleven grandchildren and two great granddaughters also survive.
