Stella Alderman Trexler

Obituary: Stella Alderman Trexler, 89, of Kannapolis, died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born October 27, 1923 in Wythe County, Va. a daughter of the late Rupert Edward and Ella Kate Semones Alderman. Mrs. Trexler was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Edward Trexler, Jr. who died October 5, 2011, four brothers, and one sister. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ellen Trexler of Kannapolis, five grandchildren, one sister, Nona Flippin of Mt. Airy, and two brothers, Kenneth Alderman of Hillsville, Va. and Neal Alderman of Salisbury. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Trexler was employed by Cannon Mills Plant #1, #7 Spinning room for 28 years. In 1973 she was employed with Burlington Sportswear in Mooresville for 13 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Rev. Jimmy Barnhill, pastor, and Revs. David and Edward Richardson,both nephews of Mrs. Trexler. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to final rites. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Whitley's Funeral Home Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. At other times they will be at Mrs. Trexler's residence.
