Sterlin Martin

Obituary: Sterlin Brown Martin, 66 of Concord went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 14, 2019 at CHC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord following a period of declining health. Sterlin was born April 20, 1952 in Cabarrus County, NC a son of the late William Cleveland Martin, Jr. and the late Juanita Wilkin Brown Martin. Sterlin was a member of the Boy Scouts, a 1970 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School and UNC- Charlotte. For many years he was in the banking and finance industry and had served as a Vice-President of Bank of America. He was an avid sports fan following UNC- Charlotte Basketball and the Carolina Panthers. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Sterlin will be held 6:30 P.M. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Family members left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Lorraine Turner Martin of the Home, one son, Anthony Stewart of the home, one grandson, Aiden Stewart, one brother, William Lee Martin and wife Patricia of Mooresville along with many nieces and nephews.
