Steve Hewey Weatherford

Obituary: Steve Weatherford, 58, of Salisbury, passed on Friday, April 3, 2015 at his home after a period of declining health. Steve was born August 11, 1956 in Darlington, SC, a son of the late Layton Weatherford and Betty Stratton Morgan of Kannapolis. He worked at Rowan Mills for many years. His hobbies included fishing and gardening and he was a Master knife thrower. Survivors include his wife, Debra Wallace Weatherford of the home, his mother, Betty Morgan and stepfather, Harry Morgan of Kannapolis; three daughters, Veronica Leazer, (Jake) of Mooresville, Tammy Davis (Eric) of Salisbury and Wendy Bostian (Tracy) of Kannapolis; two brothers, Tommy Weatherford (Joalice) of Salisbury and Jeff Morgan (Tina) of China Grove; three sisters, Kathy Mishak, Bonnie Craven and Shirley Winstead, all of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren, Dillon, Hunter, Gavin, Kaylee, Levi, Casey, Ciara and Cole; and one great-grandson to-be. The funeral will be at 1:00 PM Monday, April 6 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. James Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at West lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Monday, at other times they will be at his daughter's home, Tammy Davis, 925 Mt.
