Steven Glenn Deal

Steven Glenn Deal, 67, of China Grove, entered into eternal rest, Monday, March 15, 2021 after a period of declining health. Born April 5, 1953 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Claude Brown Deal and Edith Ann Kluttz Deal.

During his working years, Steve worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed NASCAR, Carolina Panthers football, and telling jokes. Perhaps more than anything, he loved his grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Debbie; two sons, Jamey Scott Deal of China Grove and Billy Glenn Deal and wife Nikki of China Grove; four grandchildren, Taylor Brooke Deal, Kaylan Riley Deal, Brantley Cole Deal, and Ashley Peter Wootten Deal; a brother, Claude Michael Deal and wife Jane of Lawrenceville, GA; and an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis. Rev. Clinton Talbert will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
