Steven Wayne Walton, 54, of Kannapolis, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Atrium Health CMC Main in Charlotte. He was born February 6, 1967 in Rowan County. He is the son of Jerry and Ann Walton.
He was proceeded in death by his late wife, Sue Walton, his late wife, Alisa Walton, and his niece Felicia Hunt
Aside from his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Alesea Walton of Cleveland, NC; a son, Jesse Walton (Hannah) of Mooresville; fiancé Loretta Stancil of Kannapolis; Edward Jr and Hailey Stancil, that he considered his children; grandchildren Hailey, Taylor, and Wyatt Walton and Raylee Stancil; six siblings and multiple nieces and nephews.
He attended North Rowan High School. He worked at Pillowtex Fieldcrest Cannon plant 16 for many years as a supervisor. He drove a tractor trailer for 20 plus years with companies TMC transport, Kellogg's Snacks, and Swing Transport. He also worked for What Matters Most in Concord.
Steve loved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he loved Nascar, he was a diehard Kyle Busch fan. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and fishing. It was his wish that there be no formal services held for him.
