Sue Casper

Obituary: Mrs. Sue Casper, 81, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House following a short illness. She was born July 6, 1934 in Lincoln Parrish, LA a daughter of the late Minor Eugene and Eva Mae Williams Brazzel. She was also preceded in death by a son Barry Wayne Jordan. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 St. John's Church Road, Concord, NC 28025. The Rev. Dr. Mark J. Ericson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 P.M.-3:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence. Burial will be at a later date in Arlington Cemetery in Homer, Louisiana. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Bobby Casper of the Home, one son, Harold Wendell Jordan and wife Libby of Hampstead, NC, two step-daughters, Linda Harwood and husband Bobby of Concord, Shelia Sheppard and husband Farrell of Vilas, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sue was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was elected Soil and Water District Conservation Supervisor where she served four years and later was elected to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners; serving two terms. She was retired owner/operator of Testco. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to any organization for the care of neglected, abused, or orphaned animals; which were very dear to her heart.
