Susan Diane (Shue) Love

Susan Shue Love, 75, of Concord, passed into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Susan was born on December 21, 1947 in Cabarrus County. She was the cherished only child of the late Willian Ray Shue and Alice Cress Shue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Douglas Lee Love.

Susan spent her career as a proud office manager at NCDIHR until she retired in 2009. Her dedication and caring nature left a lasting mark on everyone she worked with.Beyond work, she was a familiar face at church, where her warm smile and unwavering faith made her a beloved member of the community.Susan had a profound love for animals, particularly her cherished cats. Her home was a haven for her furry companions, and she found joy in providing them with a loving and nurturing environment. Susan loved her family, and she took great delight in spoiling her granddaughter, Anna.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Chris Safrit (Erin), and granddaughter, Anna Safrit.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Visitation will be followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Carolina Memorial Park.
