Susan Alana (Untz) Tadlock

August 20, 1954 — July 5, 2024

Harrisburg

Susan Untz Tadlock went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 5, 2024 after a courageous battle with an aggressive cancer. She was an incredibly talented, creative, beautiful, loving woman whose love and compassion for others was only surpassed by her love for God.

Susan was born August 20, 1954 to George Kenneth Untz and Dorothy Furr Untz in Concord, NC. She was the Choir Director and a Deacon at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church in Concord and was able to minister, not only to the choir, but to the whole congregation. Her love for music began at an early age. She was known for her beautiful voice and sang in many Choral Ensembles and Christian groups through school and beyond. Her compassion and love for people was obvious to anyone who knew her. She enjoyed singing, making jewelry, crocheting, baking, working in the yard and being with her family and friends.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Greg Tadlock; her daughters, Heather Case (Joshua) and Alana White; her step-son Bryan Tadlock (Michelle) and her grandchildren, Isabella Case, Benjamin Case, Grant Tadlock, Eva White and Eli White. Susan’s grandchildren were especially precious to her and she enjoyed spending time with them playing, doing crafts, teaching them how to bake and watching them grow. She was proud of all of them and bragged on them constantly.

Susan was preceded in death by her father – Kenneth Untz; her mother, Dorothy Untz and her sister, Patti Untz McGuire. Though we rejoice in her healing, she will truly be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
