Obituary: Syble L. Robinson, 81, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord on January 30, 2014 at Five Oaks Manor. Her death follows an extended period of declining health. Mrs. Robinson was born in Anderson County, SC. on June 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Fred V. and Carrie Harrison Teigue. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter Robinson, Jr. and 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services for Mrs. Robinson will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Pastor Sam Crisp and Pastor Barbara Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Robinson was an employee at Cannon Mills for 40 years prior to retirement and was a member of Kannapolis Church of God where she was a longtime member of the Hannah Circle. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who exuded love to everybody. She is survived by three daughters; Carol R. Newsom and husband Larry of Middletown, RI., Patricia R. Childers and husband, Rowe of Kannapolis, Judy R. Guinn and husband, Nickie T. of Mooresville, and a son; Timothy Walter Robinson and wife, Bobra of Dry Fork, VA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Travis and Christopher Childers, Jaime Elaine Davis, Evangeline Claire Newsom, Adam and Bailey Robinson, Devon Wall, Megan Oliver, Madison Norris; and 12 great grandchildren, Dylan and Brittney Childers, Michael, Austin and Krista Childers, Carrie and Christina Davis, Brooklynn and Aidan White, Emilee Wall, Jenna and Madelyn Oliver; and 2 great- great grandchildren, Branson Gage and Brody Walter Childers.
