Sylvia Campbell

Obituary: Sylvia Tucker Campbell, 71, of Kannapolis passed away at her home on Sunday, May 17, 2015. She was born July 3, 1943 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Gurley Burns Tucker and Pearl Rimer Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Campbell, and three brothers, Junior, Clarence and Larry Tucker. Sylvia was former owner of Campbell's Trucking for many years. She also had run a gun shop in earlier years. She loved going to flea markets and yard sales. She was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church, Mullis Rd., Kannapolis officiated by Rev. Vaudry Tucker, Rev. Ronald Tucker and Rev. Randy Tucker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the church. At other times, they will be at brother, Gerald Tucker's home, 2900 Copeland Rd., Concord, NC. She is survived by her son, Wayne Ledbetter, daughter, Teresa Ledbetter, step children, Chad Campbell, Wendy Campbell Smith, grandchildren, D.J. Ledbetter, Dexter Ledbetter (Lori), Hayley and McKenzie Ledbetter, great grandchildren, Brystal and Sylas Ledbetter, brothers, Grady, Jerry, Vaudry, Red, Ronald and Gerald Tucker and two sisters, Nancy Milam and Cathy Hill.
