Obituary: Sylvia Lea Coleman completed her journey at Tucker Hospice House on July 8, 2015 and was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior that day after a brief illness. Sylvia was born in Winston-Salem, NC on July 27, 1938. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bob Coleman of Mt. Pleasant, NC. her son, Bob Coleman Jr. and his wife Candy of Sarasota, Fl. She is also survived by her twin sister, Sylbia Plummer (Edsel) of Mt. Pleasant, sister Violet Rudisill of Concord, brothers Arthur Rudisill (Jan) of Orangeburg, SC and Jim Rudisill (Betty Ann) of Fort Mill, SC, numerous nephews, nieces and friends also survive .She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anne Rudisill of Concord. She was a former member of West Concord Baptist Church and currently a member Poplar Grove Baptist Church of Concord; where she was the assistant church treasurer for several years. She retired from Fuller Supply in Concord, NC. Sylvia and Bob enjoyed traveling to many parts of the country during their retirement. She was a wonderful caregiver to her mother, aunt, uncle, and sister over the years. A time to visit with the family will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis on Sunday, July 12th, from 12:00 -2:00 P.M. Services will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Jimmy Barrett. Interment will follow at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Poplar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
