Sylvia Gale Almond Corl

Obituary: Salisbury, NC Mrs. Sylvia Gail Almond Corl, 79 of Salisbury went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born June 15, 1937 in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late Claude and Jeanette Easley Almond. Also preceded her in death was her husband, John B. Corl on March 26, 1992. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was the former President of Jaco Properties and later was a homemaker. She enjoyed hunting for gemstones, traveling, gardening, taking care of her flowers reading and birdwatching. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Mike Hubbard. Survivors include three sons John Alan Corl, and James Bryan Corl both of Salisbury and David Lynn Corl of Kannapolis.
