Sylvia Ann (Hancock) Overcash

Sylvia Ann Hancock Overcash, 81, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis following a period of declining health.

She was born August 15, 1940 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Hancock and Grace Pauline Hancock Hancock. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years: Ronnie Milton Overcash who died April 2, 2014.

Sylvia attended Brookdale Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, reading, doing puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

There will be a visitation for friends on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Annex Chapel from 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M.

Family members left to cherish her memory include two sons; Ricky Overcash and wife Debbie of Cornelius, and Randy Overcash and wife Belinda of Concord, one daughter, Donna Freeze and husband Dale of Concord, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
