Tamara Ross Archie, 62, of China Grove, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Tamara was born on March 19, 1962 in Cabarrus County. She was the cherished daughter of Bobby Ross and Brenda Carter Ross.
For 25 years, Tamara worked as a dedicated nurse, always putting others first and providing comfort and support to those in need. Her nurturing nature and commitment to helping others made a lasting difference in the lives of many.
Outside of her professional life, Tamara had a deep love for the beach, where they found peace in the natural beauty of the ocean. She also had a passion for arts and crafts. She could often be found creating beautiful flower arrangements and wreaths. Tamara's fondness for peacocks reflected her love for nature’s elegance and grace. Tamara will deeply missed by all who knew her.
As a mother, her love knew no bounds. Her unwavering belief in their potential. Her legacy lives on in the love and values she instilled in each of them.
As a grandmother, she found a new depth of joy. Her grandson brought out her sweetest side, and she delighted in watching them grow and thrive. Her bond with him was something truly special, one that will be cherished forever.
In her personal time, she enjoyed the simple pleasures—shopping with her sister, salon visits with her sister and mother, and creating memories that brought her joy. Those moments of self-care and bonding were just a small reflection of the joy she found in the people she loved and the life she led.
In addition to her mother and father, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Timothy Archie; children, Brandon Archie, and Marissa Archie; grandson, Jaiden Archie; sister, Cindy Simmons (Eric); nephews, Nick, and Alex; mother-in-law, Pat Archie; sisters-in-law, Kim Rogers and Renea Byrd; and nieces, Shea Bapp, and Tisha Clark.
The family will receive friends from 3:00pm to 4:00pm on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 4:00pm in Whitley’s Chapel with Rev. Eddie Willis officiating.
