Tamara Tipton Hudson

Obituary: Tamara Tipton Hudson, 44, of Pikeville, NC and formerly of Kannapolis died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Death was unexpected. She was born September 17, 1965 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late James and Mary Sue Mull Still. Tamara was a1983 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and a 1989 graduate of Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She was employed as a private duty nurse. Tamara was a dedicated caregiver to her patients, whom she dearly loved. Her three children were the most important thing in her life and she will be remembered as a loving and caring mother. She was of the Baptist Faith. Tamara loved the beach and loved to listen to all venues of music. She was a great cook and was known for her pecan pies. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Chris O'Quinn. The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service. At other times they will be at 116 Tanglewood Drive, Kannapolis. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband, James H. Tipton who died in 1991. She is survived by her three beloved sons: Brandon and Justin Tipton both of Kannapolis and Nathaniel Hudson of Albemarle. She is also survived by her former husband, Jamie Hudson of Albemarle. Numerous brothers and sisters also survive. The family request that memorials be made to a college fund for Brandon and Justin Tipton, c/o BB&T Bank, 5145 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027.
