Obituary: Tamara Renee "Tammy" Stamey Wallace, age 55, of Enochville passed at home with her family by her side on Thursday, March 31, 2016 after a period of declining health. Her Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday April 3 at Bethpage United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Portis and Rev. Duane Melton officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, April 2 at Whitley's Funeral Home at other times they will be at the family home. Tammy was born December 3, 1960 in Iredell Co., a daughter of the late Robert E. and Nancy Overcash Stamey. She was a lifelong area resident and member of Bethpage United Methodist Church. Tammy worked for Aeroquip in Mooresville. Tammy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her brothers; Rodney D. and Bryant M. Stamey and her daughter, Brianne Danielle Wallace. She is survived by her son, Christopher J. Stamey (Katie) of Kannapolis, her grandchildren, Carolyn, C.J. and Carrigan Stamey, her brother, Bob Stamey (Kathy) of Mooresville and her sister, Pam Stamey of Kannapolis as well as many nieces and nephews.
