Tammy Beth Drye Garmon

Obituary: Tammy Beth Drye Garmon, 56, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 10th in the comfort of her home in Kannapolis, NC with her loving family by her side. Tammy was born on January 4, 1960 in Concord, NC, the daughter of the late James Cleveland Drye and Mary Catherine Taylor. She graduated from Central Cabarrus High School and worked at Philip Morris in Concord. It was in high school where Tammy met her high school sweetheart and love of her live for over 40 years, Jerry Dean Garmon. Tammy and Jerry married on August 18, 1978 and had two children together; Jeremy Dean Garmon and Amy Michelle Garmon. Tammy lived for her family. She was a devoted wife, dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved to take family trips to their beach house at Holden Beach, NC. She enjoyed anything outdoors. Tammy touched the lives of many people. She is survived by her loving husband Jerry, son Jeremy, daughter Amy, granddaughter Briah Na'shea Hollis, grandson Isaiah Jacob Washington, brother, Randy Drye and his wife Brenda. A memorial service will take place at 1p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18th at Broadus Memorial Baptist Ch. in Concord conducted by Pastor Rodney Quesenberry. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Memorials can be made to: Broadus Mem. Baptist Ch.. 59 Green St SW, Concord, NC 28027. If flowers are sent for the service, please have them delivered to the church Sunday morning before the service.
