Teddy Roosevelt Johnson

Obituary: Teddy Roosevelt Johnson, 75, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 21, 2016 at his home, following a 2 year period of declining health. Born October 20, 1940 in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Kenneth King and Jesse Elma Burris Johnson. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he cherished time spent with his family. Mr. Johnson will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his brothers Ray, L.A. and Jerry Johnson. Family left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Judy Johnson; his daughter Lori Hubbard and husband, Jimmy; sisters Marlene Horton (Clarence) and Janice Higgins (Bill); his brothers Delmar Johnson (Wanda June), Gene Johnson and Gary Johnson (Bonnie), grandchildren McKenzie Hooks (Jason) and Andrew Hubbard and his great-grandson Griffin Hooks. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 25 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A graveside service to remember and celebrate Teddy's life will begin at 2:00 pm at West Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by Pastor Jon Sherrill and Jimmy Hubbard.
