Tena Marie (Ballard) Shepard

Tena Marie Ballard Shepard, 61, of Concord, went into her heavenly home on Friday, September 3, 2021 after a courageous long-time battle with cancer.

Tena was born on October 5, 1959 in Flint, Michigan to her father, Curly Ballard and late mother, Ollie Hubbard Ballard.

Tena was very creative and enjoyed making crafts. Recently, she enjoyed crocheting blankets. She was a faithful member of Highest Praise Family Worship Center. Most of all, she dearly loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 41 years, Jody Shepard; two children, Kristen (Jeremy) Adcock and Josh (Felicia) Shepard; father, Curly Ballard; seven grandchildren, Lauren Bolton, Nathan Bolton, Liam Adcock, Bryson Adcock, Easton Shepard, Jaxon Shepard, Kinsley Shepard; two sisters, Kim McIntyre (Wayne), Trina Ballard, and brother, Shawn Ballard.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Highest Praise Family Worship Center. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Josh Shepard officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
