Teresa Gail (Lambert) Johnson

It is with deep sadness that the family of Teresa (Terri) Gail Johnson announces her passing on April 7, 2020 at the age of 70. Teresa passed away after a long period of declining health. She went peacefully at her home in Kannapolis, her final days spent surrounded by family and friends.

Teresa is predeceased by her parents, James and Kathleen Lambert.

Teresa is survived by Daniel Wilson Johnson, loving and devoted husband of 17 years, her Brother Don Lambert and her sister Joann Stegall. Teresa is lovingly remembered by her 3 children, son Tony Wayne Burgess Jr, wife Julie, and daughters Terri Lachelle Roberts and Amber Burgess Belandria, husband Jose. Teresa had 2 step sons, Shane Johnson and Eric Johnson, wife Ellen. Eight grandchildren, Katelyn Forrest, husband Mike, Chase Roberts, Chandler Burgess, wife Erin, Caydence Burgess, Nina Belandria, Ethan Belandria, Elijah Johnson and Sawyer Johnson. She had two great grandchildren, Jenna Forrest and Isabella Burgess.

Teresa was born January 17, 1950 in Concord, NC at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital to James Odell Lambert and Kathleen Morris Lambert. Teresa was raised in Kannapolis and attended A.L. Brown high school then later received her diploma from Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Teresa worked at Cannon Mills until its closing in 2003. She then went to work at Walmart until she retired.

Teresa will forever be remembered for her love of gardening, angels, Thomas Kincaid, and family cookouts, an all- time favorite. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, trips to the mountains and the beach. Teresa loved her family deeply and went to great lengths to make sure everyone was taken care of. She will be missed greatly by all her knew and loved her.

The family will hold a private graveside service on Monday April 13, 2020 and will hold a private memorial service for family and friends at a later date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Teresa to the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer.
