Terry Donahue

Obituary: Terry Richard Donahue, 66, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side, following a period of declining health. Born April 17, 1950 in Cabarrus County, Terry was a son of the late Edwin Rudolph and Mary Stella Brock Donahue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Donahue and 2 brothers. Mr. Donahue had been employed with Parkdale Mills until its' closing, later working for Wal-Mart in Kannapolis for more than 20 years. Terry loved being with his family and enjoyed watching NASCAR, wrestling and baseball. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family members left with cherished memories include his wife of 48 years, Sarah Cook Donahue; his son Terry Eugene Donahue (Amy Canupp); a sister Kay Brown and his grandson Terry Eugene Donahue, Jr. The family will receive friends Monday, June 27th, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember Terry will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Steve Sprinkle. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
