Obituary: Mr. Terry Franklin Fisher, Sr.,75 of Kannapolis, "Enochville Community" died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. He was born September 25, 1933 in Mecklenburg County, NC son of the late Thomas Mills and Essie Hames Fisher. While living in Charotte he worked for Perfecting Service Mfg. Company and was later employed at Ronson Hydraulic until his retirement due to ill health. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Enochville. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War Era and later served in the National Guard. He had served with the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery while on active duty. Funeral services will be 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Enochville conducted by Rev. Steve Burrow. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove with military graveside rites. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00-12:30 P.M. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence. He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Shirley Robinson Fisher of the Home, 2 Sons: Terry F. and wife Martha B. Fisher of Kannapolis, Andy Thomas and wife Sheri A. Fisher of Concord, Four Daughters: Cindy and Husband T.R. Miller, Jr. of Kannapolis, Rhonda and Husband Steve Calloway of Concord, Donna K. Fisher Alley of China Grove, Lisa Fisher-O'Neill and husband Jonathan of Bethesda, Md., Sister: "Jessie" Gene Fisher Bagley of Charlotte, 15 grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Sister: Ruth Lyles and a Grandson: Joshua Edney Tucker. The family request that In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
