Terry (Keller) James

Terry Keller James, 83, of Kannapolis, NC unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family, and peacefully went to be with Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior.

Terry was born on August 26, 1940, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late BP Keller and Minnie Taylor Keller. She was a graduate of A.L Brown High School and attended Evans Business College. She worked as a teacher at First Assembly Christian School in Charlotte NC. In her later years she worked at Neta’s Children Shop.

She was a lifelong member of Centerview Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, served on various committees throughout the years, and loved her church family with all her heart.

Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. She was so proud of her family and spent each day of her life showing them how much she loved them and shared her love of Jesus with them every opportunity.

Preceded in death by her parents BP Keller and Min Taylor Keller and sisters Ann Rodman and Jane Black. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years Wayne James; her son Bill James and daughters Kelly Cline (Rusty) and Beth Windham (David); Grandchildren Nathan Cline, Weston Cline and Wyatt Windham; Nephew Jason Black, Niece Ashley Basinger and numerous extended family members.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on October 20, 2023, at Centerview Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Willie Rash, 415 Walter Street Kannapolis, NC 28083. Visitation will start at 2 pm and the service will be at 3 pm.
