Obituary: Terry Faye Tennent Leonard, 72 of Kannapolis died Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, after four months declining health. A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 7. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Whitley's Funeral Home prior to the service. Terry was born July 1, 1946 in Kannapolis, a daughter of the late Lawton and Mozelle McCollum Tennent. She was a lifelong area resident. In earlier years, Terry worked for Cannon Mills as an inspector in the towel cutting dept. Plant #1. She loved her family and was loved in return. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Tennant and her grandson, Darion Bean. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband, Jimmy Leonard and her son Jeffrey Leonard, both of the family home, her daughter, Cynthia Bean (Harry) of Ladson SC, five grandchildren and her sister, Dorothy Ping of Bremerton, WA and several nieces and nephews.
