Obituary: Terry Lee Rinehardt, 63 of Kannapolis went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. His death follows a brief illness. Terry was born on December 23, 1950 in Stanly County, NC a son of the late David Webster and Viola Mae Harwood Rinehardt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Eugene Harwood who died December 22, 2013. Terry was a graduate of North Stanly High School, and the University of Oklahoma, School of Healthcare Services at Sheppard AFB and Fort Sam Houston. He retired from the VA hospital in Salisbury where he was a physician's assistant and was a member of the Kannapolis Church of God where he was active in the choir. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam where he was awarded the purple heart and also served during Operation Desert Shield. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Kannapolis Church of God, 2211 West A. St., Kannapolis, NC 28081, with Rev. Sam Crisp officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Salisbury on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 12:00 PM Terry is survived by his wife; Susann Dobson Rinehardt of the home, sons; Michael Terry Rinehardt and wife Wendy of Mooresville, and Donald Lee Newton Jr. and wife Michelle of Concord, daughter; Teresa Newton Ross and husband Steve of Concord,and grandchildren; Bradley, Josiah, and Xander Newton, Spencer and Jade Ross, and Allison and Jesse Rinehardt.
