Thamer "Bones" Thurmond Wheeler

Thamer "Bones" Thurmond Wheeler Jr., 63, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at his residence.

Bones was born on April 3, 1958 in Raleigh Co. West Virginia, a son of the late Thamer Thurmond Wheeler Sr. and Ramona Darlene Vaught Wheeler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Dale Wheeler, Curtis Dwayne Wheeler, and Gregory Sterling Wheeler.

Bones will always be remembered as being a jokester and could put a smile on anyone's face. He had a heart of gold and would embrace everyone as his family. Bones loved animals, but especially his dog, Little Bit who misses him dearly. He enjoyed watching wrestling and old Westerns on television, fishing and listening George Jones. George Jones was his favorite music artist and could recite his lyrics at a drop of a hat. Bones as an expert negotiator and entrepreneur scrap-metaler, along with being skilled in fixing bikes. Bones was greatly loved by all who knew him, his friends and family will dearly miss his kind heart.

Those left to cherish his memory include siblings, Imogene Wallace, James Wheeler, Rita Richmond, Steven Wheeler, Kennedy Wheeler, Leroy Wheeler, Lisa Wheeler, and Yvonne Tucker; daughter, Addie Wheeler; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren, along with numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The Wheeler family would like to invite friends and family to a memorial service in honor of Bones, which will be held on December 24, 2021 at 12:00 P.M at 248 Wakefield Drive, Salisbury, North Carolina 28146.
