Thelma Rae Gulledge Jordan

Obituary: Thelma Rae Gulledge Jordan, 72, of Kannapolis passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014. She had been in declining health for several months. Thelma, a devoted wife and mother was married to Ronald Ernest Jordan on November 14, 1959. They were married 55 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Randall (Randy) Jordan and four daughters, Jackie Winstead, Tamelia (Tammy) Patterson, Lori Moore and Rhonda Kannenberg. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She has three brothers, A.B. "June"Gulledge, Grady Gulledge and Larry Gulledge; three sisters, Joyce Jackson, Margaret Stackleather and Shelby Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlin and Beulah Boatwright Gulledge, and three brothers, Beuford Gulledge, Rhett Gulledge and Jerry Gulledge. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 PM Monday, Feb. 24th at Whitley's Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 PM in Whitley's Chapel officiated by Rev. James Pauley and Rev. Keith Kannenberg. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 904 Chipola Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
