Thelma Barnhardt Marshall

Obituary: Mrs. Thelma Barnhardt Marshall, 86, of Canton, Ga. Formerly of Kannapolis, went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2015. Mrs. Marshall was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Kannapolis. She was employed at Fieldcrest-Cannon for thirty eight years until her retirement. Thelma was born May 15, 1928 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late William F. and Roseanna King Barnhardt. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. James Pauley. Interment will follow in the family plot of Carolina Memorial Park. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Marshall on January 16, 2006, a son, Blaniard Marshall two sisters, Mildred Wallace and Mabel Lowder, and two brothers, James Barnhardt and Frank Barnhardt. Survivors include one daughter, Janis Marshall-Kroen and husband Lance of Canton, Ga., one brother, Bobby Barnhardt of Sarasota, Fla. and a niece, Robin Keeter and husband David of Kannapolis. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 904 Chipola St, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Barnhardt.
