Thelma Williams

Obituary: Concord, NC- Thelma Lucille Freeze Williams (Lucille), age 91, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at Universal Healthcare, Concord, NC after one year of declining health. She was born August 2, 1918 in Iredell County, NC, the daughter of the late Troy Freeze and Ola Mae Rogers Freeze. She was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company for many years until her retirement. She attended Mt. Zion Community Church, Concord, NC. Lucille was also known by many to take care of many elderly people in their homes throughout the years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Williams, in 1960; a brother, Allen D. Freeze; and a sister, Dorothy Freeze Herrin. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Alan Miller. Survivors include a special friend and daughter-in-Christ, Karen Harrington of Concord, NC and another special friend, Blanche Johnson of Kannapolis, NC, one niece; and one nephew. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Community Church, 4435 Roberta Road, Concord, NC 28027.
