Obituary: Thomas E. Ferguson, 84, died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; Son, Michael and wife Lorraine Camp; daughter Katherine F. Stewart and husband.Kevin; granddaughter, Stephanie Stewart; grandson, Thomas P. Stewart; brothers, John P. Ferguson, Jr. and wife Millie; William Ferguson and wife Yvonne; Sisters, Alice F. Adams and husband, John Law; Eva Jane F. Parham, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Fred Ferguson. He grew up in York County, SC, graduated from Clover High School, served as a medic in the US Army during the "Coldest War" in Korea. Through the years he worked for Cloverleaf Motors, Pilot Freight Carriers, Dillon Supply Company, and for 24 years at Moss Trucking Company before his retirement. Tom loved Pat, his children and grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, his friends and neighbors, his country, his church, especially the Covenant Class and the folk services. He enjoyed camping with the kids, vacations at the beach and traveling and cruising with friends. He could repair whatever was worn or broken and refused to spend money on anything that he could fix. A Celebration of his Life and Memorial Service will be held at Plaza Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 2 PM with a reception following in the Mecklenburg Building. Memorials may be made to Plaza Presbyterian Church, 2304 The Plaza, Charlotte, or to Tucker Hospice House of Cabarrus County.
