Obituary: Mr. Thomas W. Snipes, Jr., age 74 of Kannapolis, North Carolina passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014. A graduate of the University of South Carolina and a long- time member of the Kannapolis Country Club, Mr. Snipes served as an accountant with Cannon Mills Corporation and Northeast Medical Center. He is survived by his son, Stephen Snipes (Renee) and two grandchildren, Lauren Snipes and Harris Snipes, all of Birmingham, Alabama; 3 sisters, Peggy Ellison, Patsy Mize, and Sylvia Ellison; and Brenda Snipes. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th, at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, NC. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials honoring the life of Thomas W. Snipes, Jr. may be directed to Vitas Hospice Program located at 224 1st Street North, Suite 250, Birmingham, Alabama 35007. Services are under the direction of Whitley's Funeral Home.
