Obituary: Thomas "Farrell" Watts, 73 of Kannapolis died Saturday April; 4, 2015 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House after a brief period of declining health. Farrell was born September 5, 1941 in Cabarrus Co. NC, a son of the late Thomas and Edna Osborne Watts. He was a life-long area resident and an avid shagger, D.J. and ham radio operator. He worked for Concord Telephone Company for 31 years and then Calloway Custom Security in Concord. He will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home at 5:30 PM Wednesday, April 8 with Reverends Gene and Steve Sprinkle officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 5:30 PM Wednesday prior to the memorial service. Private interment will happen at a later date. In addition to his parents Farrell was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Watts. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 18 years, Brenda Addertion Watts of the home, his daughters, Jennifer Watts of Mt. Pleasant, Noelle Watts of Concord, his son, John Watts and wife, Kelly of Concord, a step-son, Andy Meadows of Winston Salem, 3 grandchildren; Micah Bruce, Ashton McCullen and Jade Watts, 2 great grandchildren, Trey Crowell and Carson Honeycutt and his four legged best friend, Odie.
