Tillie Mae Mcmanus Rhodes

Obituary: Tillie Mae McManus Rhodes, age 86 of China Grove and much loved mother, went to be with her Lord from her home on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 after years of declining health. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Salisbury National Cemetery with Rev. Harold Jordan and Rev. Ron Bushey officiating. Tillie was born September 21, 1929 in Cabarrus Co., the daughter of the late Myrtle Mosley McManus. She was a long time area resident and member of Charity Baptist Church. Tillie worked for Wachovia Bank as a mail room clerk. She loved bowling, dancing and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, John Rodgers Rhodes, who passed Oct. 6, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Tonda R. Chandler (Medrick) of Gold Hill and her sons, Buster Sibley (Judy) of Midland, James Sibley of Ridgecrest, Thomas "Mike" Sibley (Kattie) of Oakboro and daughter, Teresa Caudle of China Grove. She is also survived by13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
