Obituary: Timothy "Tim" Lynn McDaniel, 43, of Kannapolis died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 1, 2012 after a period of declining health. His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 4 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev. Max Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, at other times they will be at 403 Dodge St., at his mother, Della Faye McDaniel's Home. Tim was born October 19, 1968 in Cabarrus Co., a son of the late Bobby McDaniel and Della Faye Carelock McDaniel of Kannapolis. He was a life-long area resident and member of Calvary Baptist Church. Tim worked as a carpenter for various Construction Companies, most recently for Abode Properties. He loved all things NASCAR, and his dog "Bear". Tim was a loving son, brother and uncle. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his brothers, Michael McDaniel (Lisa) of Kannapolis, Robbie Lee McDaniel of GA, Billy Ray Jenkins (Terrie), Danny Lee Jenkins (Terri), both of Kannapolis, 2 nephews, Danny Jenkins, Jr. and Jeremy McDaniel and 2 nieces, Heather McDaniel Hurst and Courtney Rushing, 5 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew.
