Obituary: Kannapolis, Timothy Gerard Nabors, 56, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012, at CMC Northeast. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 15, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kannapolis with Father Al Riquelme officiating. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary service starting at 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at 1011 West C Street, at the home of his father. Timothy was born March 8, 1956, in Cabarrus County, a son of Semon Benjamin Nabors, and the late Catherine Sweeney Nabors of Kannapolis. He was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and employed by Freightliner. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Sheets Nabors; a son, Steven A. Nabors, of Cornelius; two daughters, Jessica Semone Nabors and Rachel Lauren Nabors both of Kannapolis; a brother, John (Chris) Nabors, Sr. and his wife, Dot, of Matthews; and many nieces and nephews. Tim will be remembered as a hard worker, a good listener and a gentle soul. He understood and taught many of us what it meant to be a good person and the value of what truly mattered in life.
